FIELD: instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: centers of fastening member holes are usually positioned on level or above unit center of gravity in symmetry with unit symmetry plane. However such arrangement is not optimal from the point of view of convenience of unit installation on surface of car body. When determining the centers of holes, first of all position of hole center of right-hand (with unit connector down) fastening member is determined as center of circle, the diameter of which is equal to sum of values of mechanized tool head diameter and allowance which ensures mounting clearance included in angle, formed by straight line drawn through upper right-hand base angle in parallel to base diagonal being opposite to this angle, and right-hand side of base. This done, center of hole of left-hand fastening member is determined. EFFECT: more effective process of hole center determination. 3 cl, 4 dwg
