FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: indole is isolated from vegetable material via sublimation technique involving steam and condensation in the form of aqueous solution. Condensate is then concentrated in column with sorbent Silasorb C 18 and indole is determined using gas-liquid chromatography with 15N-indole as internal standard and mass-spectral or flame-ionization detector.
