FIELD: antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: antenna is single-wire transmission line with one end loaded into matched load and secured on balloon, its other end being coupled with transceiver and secured to ground by means of anchor bar. Horns are used to excite single-wire transmission line. Re-radiating obstacles such as dipoles are placed near single-wire transmitting line. EFFECT: improved communication range, extended operating frequency range, improved directivity in vertical plane. 3 dwg
