FIELD: antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: dipole array has single-wire transmission line and dipoles mounted in coaxial manner to line conductor . Array is excited by transmission-line conductor. Desired field distribution along array to ensure desired directivity pattern characteristic in planes crossed by single-wire transmission line conductor can be attained depending on coefficients of coupling between dipoles and surface wave line. EFFECT: provision for optimal narrowing of directivity pattern by setting it in horn or parabolic reflector focus. 3 dwg
