FIELD: selective flotation of brown coal particles, subbituminous or oxidized bituminous coal found in slime of coal and barren rocks, for separation of coal particles from barren rocks. SUBSTANCE: method includes stage of dispersion of some quantity of surfactant in slime body; the first conditioning of slime so that surface of coal particles is selectively coated with surfactant to form activated coal particles and dispersion of some amount of oil in slime body. Then, the second conditioning of slime is effected so that surface of coal activated particles are selectively coated with oil to form of coal oiled particles. Separation of slime coal particles and barren rocks is effected by flotation of oiled coal particles on the surface of slime. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 20 cl, 1 tbl
