METHOD OF IMPROVING COLLECTOR PERFORMANCE DURING PULP SEPARATION BY FROTH FLOATATION (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B03D1/02 B03D101/02 B03D103/02

Abstract RU 2679765 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to methods for improving performance of a collector during pulp separation by froth floatation. Method of improving performance of a collector during pulp separation by froth floatation in a medium, wherein the method includes steps of: mixing a stable microemulsion, medium, fine materials and, optionally, other additives and removing the concentrate from the pulp by bubbling through the pulp. Microemulsion contains a continuous phase, which is a carrier fluid, and a dispersed phase, where the microemulsion overall, by weight, consists of: 1–95 % water, 1–50 % active collector, 1–25 % fatty acid, 1–30 % 2-butoxyethanol, 1–25 % waste stream in the form of a mixture of alcohols, obtained by the production of 2-ethylhexanol, and 1–10 % potassium hydroxide. In the second embodiment, the microemulsion contains 8–15 % paraffin oil, 4–8 % fatty acid, 10–18 % 2-butoxyethanol, 1–8 % alcohol mixture from the waste stream from the production of 2-ethylhexanol, 60–70 % water and 0.4–1.5 % potassium hydroxide. In the third embodiment, the microemulsion contains 8–15 % diesel fuel, 4–10 % fatty acid, 10–15 % 2-butoxyethanol, 1–7 % mixture of alcohols from the waste stream from the production of 2-ethylhexanol, 50–65 % water and 1–2 % potassium hydroxide.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the collector and, therefore, the flotation process.
