FOAMING AGENTS FOR FLOTATION OF MINERALS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B03D1/01 B03D1/02 B03D101/04 B03D103/02

Abstract RU 2696727 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to methods and compositions for improving separation related to the type of froth flotation. Microemulsion for improvement of efficiency of separation by froth flotation contains a continuous phase which represents a fluid carrier and a disperse phase. Microemulsion as a whole with respect to weight is formed from: 1–96 % water and a foaming ingredient containing 1–50 % alcohol mixture, which is supplied from the waste stream from production of 2–ethylhexanol, 1–20 % C8-C10 fatty acids, 1–30 % of 2-butoxyethanol and 1–10 % of potassium hydroxide, where total content of components of microemulsion is equal to 100 %. According to the second version, the microemulsion as a whole in terms of weight is formed from: 1–96 % water and a foaming ingredient containing 1–50 % alcohol mixture, which is supplied from the waste stream from production of 2-ethylhexanol, 1–20 % C8-C10 fatty acids, 1–30 % of propylene glycol and 1–10 % of potassium hydroxide, where total sum of content of components of microemulsion is equal to 100 %. According to the third version, the microemulsion as a whole with respect to weight is formed from: 1–96 % water and a foaming ingredient containing 1–50 % alcohol mixture, which is supplied from the waste stream from production of 2-ethylhexanol, 1–30 % of 2-ethylhexanoic acid, 1–20 % of 2-butoxyethanol and 1–10 % of potassium hydroxide, where total sum of content of components of microemulsion is equal to 100 %. Suspension mixture in a medium for separation by froth flotation contains a microemulsion according to any of the versions, medium and fine particles.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of froth flotation.
