FIELD: transport engineering; brake system of automobiles with electronic braking control. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method sensor signals are shaped and processed, speed, deceleration and acceleration of separate wheels are determined and results, thus obtained, are compared with preset limited values and with each other. If signals or combinations of signals typical for defective sensor are detected, regulator is switched off after expiration of preset time. If measured acceleration values are below the excessive rotation limit and speed of one of remaining wheels is below lower speed limit, regulator is switched off as soon as wheel speed exceeds upper speed limit. At measured acceleration value lying above excessive rotation limit and measured speed value lying below lower speed limit, time control circuit is switched on as soon as upper limit is exceeded. After expiration of preset time interval, regulator is switched off. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 12 cl, 7 dwg
