FIELD: production of organosilicon compounds, particularly, production of vinyl disiloxanes which may be used by manufacturing of organosilicon liquids, resins and caoutchoucs. SUBSTANCE: method involves heat treatment of vinyl polysiloxanes which takes place in the presence of hydroxides of alkali and alkaline-earth metals together with halides of alkali and alkaline-earth metals. Quantity of both hydroxides and halides is 0.05-10 mass % of mass of vinyl polysiloxanes. KOH, LiOH, NaOH, $$$ or their mixture are used as mentioned above hydroxides of metals; KF, NaF, LiF, $$$ or their mixture are used as mentioned above halides.
