FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises reacting chromic anhydride and triphenylsilanol in the presence of magnesium sulfate in carbon tetrachloride at elevated temperature and subsequently filtering reaction mixture at elevated temperature and isolating desired crystalline product. Reaction of chromic anhydride and triphenylsilanol is carried out in the presence of alkali metal halide. EFFECT: higher stability and increased yield of the desired product and also simplified process due to shorter process time. 4 cl, 14 ex, 1 tbl
