FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: phenyl chlorosilane is made to react with phenyl magnesium chloride in mixture of tetrahydrofuran and toluene, and reaction mixture is treated with water in the same solvents, and desired product is then isolated, tetrahydrofuran to toluene ratio ranging from 1:3 to 3:1 by volume, respectively. Method makes it possible to prepare desired product without isolation of triphenyl chlorosilane from reaction mixture followed by treatment with water and recovery of final product and also to use mixture of solvents thus causing greater process selectivity. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 1 tbl
