FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing precipitates produced when carburizing cyanide solutions containing zinc and lead (zinc precipitates). Precipitate is burned in oxidative atmosphere at 750-850 C for 30-75 h, ashes are mixed with fluxing additives containing cryolite and/or borax in quantity providing ratio of initial material to fluxing additive 1:(1.0-0.5), and resulting mixture is smelted at 1100-1250 C, aging lasting at least 1 h. Smelting is carried out under stirring in stirrer-equipped crucible, surface of the both being coated to provide elevated wettability with regard to precious metal smelt. EFFECT: increased precious metal recovery into ingot appropriate for manufacturing jewelry articles. 2 cl, 2 tbl
