FIELD: mining industry; applicable in control of gas emission in mining of highly gassy coal seams of flat-inclined occurrence with through ventilation system and partial adding of fresh air to return ventilation current of stoping district. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of fresh air to breakage face due to mine depression by two workings encompassing of extraction pillar. Return ventilation current is directed through working supported in the wake of breakage face and isolated from worked-out space by means of installation in the wake of breakage face of breaker row. Novelty consists in that determined preliminarily are composition, thickness and strength of rocks of seam immediate roof and length of zone of active gas emission and relief of guiding beds. Closing drainage ports are made in isolating wall. Constructed in supported working is gas-drainage chamber with definite location of its walls in zone of active gas emission from guiding beds. Simultaneously with withdrawal of return ventilation current, flow of methane-air mixture is organized by means of air leakage passing through worked-out space. Part of methane-air mixture flow is directed through gas-drainage working into return ventilation current of extraction district. Part of this flow is mixed with part of fresh air. This flow is displaced due to air head toward worked-out space. Part of methane-air mixture is directed through drainage port of front part of gas-drainage chamber.
