FIELD: medicine, hematology. SUBSTANCE: in vivo red blood cells are the population of subsets with continuous density gradient, moreover the youngest cells being the lightest ones. Blood sample is centrifuged in a transparent tube that contains plastic beads consisted of several groups, each group being of a certain specific weight ranging within specific weight of red blood cells. The beads during centrifugation are distributed in erythrocytic layer as narrow stripes that divide layers of different subsets. After this it is necessary to measure the heights of layers of some subsets of red blood cells for further determination of these cells content in patient's blood subsets. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 7 dwg
