FIELD: manufacture of filtering materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed multi-layer filtering material includes front fiber layer made from partially molten staple thermoplastic fibers fastened together by needle piercing and reverse side layer made from staple thermoplastic fibers; volume density of reverse side layer is lesser than that of front layer. Network fabric is laid between said layers. Each fiber layer is made from one and the same staple thermoplastic fibers of identical linear density. Volume density and size of pores of front layer is about twice as much of reverse side layer; size of cells formed by interweaving of warp and weft of network fabric considerably exceeds size of pores of fiber layers. Proposed material enhances smoothness of layer of settled viscous-flow dispersion of cataphoresis ground coat. EFFECT: increased capacity of filtering material.
