FIELD: organophosphorus compounds. SUBSTANCE: diphenyl-2-ethylhexylphosphite is synthesized by reesterification of triphenylphosphite with 2-ethylhexanol using potassium fluoride as catalyst at amount 0.05-0.40 wt.-% with respect to triphenylphosphite. Process is carried out in phenol at 50-70 C for 5-6 h. Phenol is taken at amount 0.7-1.8 mole/1 mole 2-ethylhexanol. The synthesized compound is used as an inhibitor of oxidation in lubricant oils, stabilizing agent of polymers, plasticizer and fireproofing compound. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 2 cl, 1 tbl
