FIELD: petrochemistry, particularly, producing additive into lubricating oil intended for improvement of antifriction and antipitting properties of oil during its operation. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of molybdenum trioxide and dialkyl dithiophosphoric acid at their molar ratio 0.75-0.9: 2. The process is followed by interaction thus obtained product with alkenyl succinic anhydride (its average molecular weight being 250-2000) at 90-95 C, quantity of anhydride being 10-50 % of weight of molybdenum complex. Additive being used at 1% concentration improves antifriction and antipitting properties of oil. EFFECT: improved antifriction and antipitting properties of lubricating oil. 1 tbl
