FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to alkylphenol additives possessing detergent, dispersing, antioxidant, and antiwear properties. Additive is prepared from interaction of C9-C18-alkylphenol, elementary sulfur, and calcium oxide (hydroxide) at 100 to 200 C in presence of diatomic alcohol in the first step. Resulting product is then treated with additional amount of calcium oxide (hydroxide) in presence of supplementary diatomic alcohol in the second step, after which product is treated with carbon dioxide. First- and second-step interaction processes are carried out in presence of polybutenylthiophosphinic, polybutenylphosphinic, or dialkyl- and/or dialkylphenyldithioposphoric acid at alkylphenol-to-acid molar ratio 1:(0.01-0.5). In the second step, calcium ox(hydroxide)-to-diatomic alcohol molar ratio is 1:(1-1.1). EFFECT: reduced consumption of reagents and improved oil properties. 1 tbl, 10 ex
