FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to erection of ground surface buildings and structures with protection of light openings in zone of probable explosions at breakdowns and disasters. Device has window sashes with double glazing, bolts secured in window opening with weakened necks and inserted through thrust sleeve, holes in window sashes and fastening angular members. Protective screen is made up of flat double-span frame of angular members. Attached to frame from outer side is insert lattice made of foam plastic material which is lined at both sides with sheets of reinforced organic glass. Frame is installed on supporting spacers of pliable material and is hung on vertical lengths of wire made of plastic metal secured at ends on supports. Wire lengths are inserted through holes in horizontal members of frame. Passages in metal pipes are filled with pliable material for sealing. Joining of frame and fastening of metal pipe lengths along sides to vertical angular members above lower and upper horizontal members of frame are effected by means of angular fastening members and connection bolts.
