FIELD: laser equipment, in particular, generating units of cross-pumped gas flow laser. SUBSTANCE: the generating unit uses a cylindrical body with sealed-connected end face covers, diameter fan, gas-discharge chamber, heat exchanger, optical resonator, whose mirrors are fastened on two parallel plates braced by three rods. The generating unit is featured by the fact that the rods in cross-section are arranged in the vertices of an equilateral triangle, the lateral surfaces of the heat exchanger are perpendicular to the upper side of the triangle and cross the diameter plane of the body at an angle of 30 deg., the rods around the edges of the triangle are closed by a sheet of heat-conducting material, a partition is provided between the diameter form and rods for directing the gas flow, and a space truss with lateral flanges for attachment of the generating unit assemblies is placed inside the body. The rods cooling device may be made in the form of longitudinal water-cooled pipes enclosed in a cylindrical housing adjoining the sheet of heat-conducting material.
