COMPACT HIGH-POWER GAS LASER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2111591 C1

FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: laser generating unit has case, optical resonator with set of electrodes, blind and output windows. Novelty is that resonator axis is perpendicular to plane of its electrodes. Set of electrodes has alternating rotary and fixed electrodes. Rotary electrodes are mounted on shaft provided with rotational drive. Fixed electrodes are placed inside case. Rotating and fixed disks have holes arranged along same axis. Fixed electrodes are provided with cooling system. Resonator may be designed as multiple-pass arrangement in which axis of each pass of resonator is aligned with axes of holes drilled in fixed electrodes. Rotary electrodes provide for more intensive heat transfer between gas mixture and side walls. EFFECT: improved laser efficiency. 14 cl, 7 dwg
