FIELD: television engineering, applicable in broadcast television systems, mainly direct television via artificial earth satellites. SUBSTANCE: broadcast television radio channel is multiplexed by the polarization method, when two television signals U1 and U2 produced with the aid of synchronous and cophasal scanners with similar frequency bands and without a frequency intermittency of spectra, with special "polarization channel identification signals" separated in time introduced in their composition, are transmitted at similar carrier frequencies, but with different polarization of radio waves. EFFECT: enhanced information content transmitted via the broadcast television radio channel with preservation of compatibility with the existing television systems. 6 wdg
