FIELD: infrared equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves scanning object surface, production of two infrared images with polarization azimuths of 45 and 90 degrees, detection of object shape by value of ψ, which is angle of inclination of element normal to object surface with respect to direction towards observer and Y coordinate. Angle value is calculated using value of video signal of infrared frame for respective element. EFFECT: possibility to take into account elliptic polarization of infrared image, when object shape is recognized inside closed circuit. 1 dwg
