FIELD: agricultural production. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining sowing time by physiological properties, i.e. by determining sprout and root length ratio. Seeds giving sprouts with length exceeding that of roots must be sown earlier and seeds giving sprouts with length below that of roots must be sown later. Length of sprouts is determined at germination temperature of 19 plus and minus 1 C. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 2 tbl
