FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method of determining yielding properties of wheat seeds including seed sprouting, removing of not germinated, decayed and defected seedlings, calculation of the average length of sprouts and roots, calculation of coefficient of symmetry, where there is additionally determined an average number of roots of germinated seeds, while the coefficient of symmetry is counted by formula Csim.=Lspr.×100/Lroot.×Nroot., where Lspr. is the average length of seedling sprouts, cm; Lroot. is the average root length of seedling sprouts, cm; Nroot. is the average number of root, PCs.; 100 is a transfer coefficient; at that, the lower is the coefficient of symmetry, the higher is the crop capacity of seeds.
EFFECT: determination of productive properties of wheat seeds with use of the disclosed method increases accuracy of determining yielding properties of wheat seeds by 35-40 %.
