FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and soil science. The method comprises seed sprouting and determination of their germination capacity in an average sample of soil taken from the root zone layer with humidity 55-60% of full water capacity in a thermostat. At that the selection of soil is made in the plow layer after its technological treatment in the period immediately preceding the planting. The complementarity of the predecessor is determined by assessment of changes of biometric parameters of seedlings under the influence of colines and miasmines on the total percentage of reduction of the length of shoots and roots with determination of three degrees of allelopathic suppression of growth power of germinating seeds. If it is over 31% the predecessor is not recommended, from 16 to 30% - the use of predecessor is possible, if less than 15% - it is a complementary predecessor.
EFFECT: method enables to improve the accuracy of selection of predecessor complementary on allelopathic consequence, taking into account the total effect of colines and miasmines.
