FIELD: production of absorbing cores for disposable articles such as hygienic cloths, wound bandages, etc. SUBSTANCE: method of sieving the peat moss in the form of particles is accomplished as follows. Formed on the main sift is aqueous suspension from peat moss and sifted by water jet at pressure for separation of fines. Suspension is diluted with water on trough connected the main sift and subsequent screen for separation of coarse parts on which wastes of coarse parts are washed with water jet at pressure by means of the second washing substance. Suspension is directed to additional sift connected with screen by trough and washed with water jet at pressure for separation of remaining fines by means of the third washing substance.
