FIELD: transportation facilities. SUBSTANCE: this relates to hydraulic pipeline transportation of solid materials in coal, mining and construction materials industries. According to method, cleaning of each section of pipeline is effected by pumping-through cleaning liquid with simultaneous drawing of calibrating scrapers made in the form of balls of material of density which is less than density of material being cleaned and flushing liquid. Each successive pumping-through operation is performed with scrape of diameter larger than diameter of previously used scraper but not larger than 95% of pipeline inner diameter. First and each successive pumping-through operation is carried out in section adjacent to final terminal of coal pipeline. Each successive pumping-through operation is performed with scraper of diameter equal to , where d - diameter of scraper used in preceding pumping-through operation.
