FIELD: waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treating waste waters, utilization of solid carbon- nitrogen-containing household wastes to form biogas by way of anaerobic fermentation for heating needs, preparing food, heating water in houses in remote areas. Methane apparatus contains horizontal casing with vertical partitions forming acid, neutral, alkaline, and methane fermentation sections with gas cavities in upper part of casing and alternate ports to pass substrate from loading device to discharge section. Stirring means is also available including horizontal shaft with drive and blades. The shaft is shifted in relation to axis of casing, and acid fermentation section includes perforated cylinder communicating through hydraulic gate with loading device provided with drive.
