FIELD: waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purifying sewage and utilizing solid carbon-nitrogen-containing wastes to produce biomethane for household needs in individual houses located at long distance from central heat and power supply networks. Installation contains horizontal casing separated into compartments for acidic, neutral, alkaline, and methane fermentation; horizontal shaft with drive and agitating blades; and compartment for gravitational sedimentation of solid constituent of fermentation residue. Casing has windows for passage of substrate from loading unit to discharge one. Windows are made in vertical partitions in the form of successively arranged openings in upper, medial, and lower parts of horizontal casing, windows in medial part being made as perforated discs concentric to horizontal shaft and perforation size decreases from loading to discharge unit.
