FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: new strain Pseudomonas species is isolated from an active silt of treatment equipment by methods of directed autoselection and screening. Strain is able to use formaldehyde as a single carbon and energy source at concentration up to 8000 mg/l. Invention can be used for biological utilization of formaldehyde and methanol and format also. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of new strain.
