FIELD: steel making. SUBSTANCE: austenite steel possessing increased series of technical and mechanical properties as well as austenite structure stability and may be applied to manufacture high-hot parts of machines and cryogenic apparatuses, is composed of (in wt %): carbon, 0.01-0.06; chromium, 18-22; nickel, 15- 18; manganese, 2-10; nitrogen, 0.2-0.5; silicon, 0.01-0.45; vanadium, 0.1-0.5; copper, 0.1-1.5; molybdenum, 0.1-2.5; cerium, 0.005-0.25; selenium, 0.05-0.25; and iron, the balance. When manganese content is below 5%, about 0.3% nitrogen is contained, and when more than 5% - content of nitrogen is 0.4-0.5%. EFFECT: improved steel quality.
