FIELD: radiochemistry; production and separation of radioactive isotopes for medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves irradiation of metal rubidium target by accelerated charge particles flux, rubidium fusion, and extraction of strontium from rubidium by sorption on surface of various materials immersed in molten metal rubidium. Heat-resistant metals or metal or silicon oxides nonreactive with rubidium are used as sorbing materials. Sorbent temperature is to be of value close to optimal for sorbing radiostrontium between metal rubidium melting point and 220 C and molten rubidium temperature is to be close to radiostrontium desorbing point between 220 and 270 C. EFFECT: improved efficiency of radiostrontium production and facilitated procedure of its extraction. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
