FIELD: radiochemistry. SUBSTANCE: irradiated yttrium is dissolved in nitric acid, yttrium oxalate is deposited, radionuclide Sr-89 is sorbed on ampholyte from solution of mixture of oxalic and citric acid salts, sorbent is washed with solution of alkali metal or ammonium citrate and Sr-89 is desorbed with solution of nitric acid. Invention makes it possible to increase yield of carrier-free radionuclide Sr-89 when it is isolated from irradiated yttrium. EFFECT: more efficient isolation method. 4 tbl
