FIELD: agriculture and forestry in particular, clearing of forest cuttings. SUBSTANCE: brush cutter has self-propelled chassis with front hitch system, baffle-shield pivotally mounted on front hitch system and working tool pivotally coupled with its upper part to baffle-shield. Working tool has frame and shearing cutter. Lower part of working tool is connected with baffle-shield through hydraulic shock-absorber so as to define triangle. Hitch system has rigidly fixed stop carrying baffle-shield, which is positioned in parallel with supporting surface of self-propelled chassis. Baffle-shield is driven by lifting hydraulic cylinder and cable-and-pulley system. Stem cavities of hydraulic shock-absorber and hydraulic lifting cylinder are connected with distributing valve of self-propelled chassis. Auxiliary baffle-type grating mounted on hitch system in front of chassis radiator is made in the form of rotary parallel rolls with blades. Rolls are kinematically connected one with another and with baffle-shield by toothed gears. EFFECT: increased efficiency in removing shrubs from forest crop spacings, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 7 dwg
