FIELD: separation of weakly magnetic materials by their magnetic properties, in particular, in mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of treaded material to parallel long ferromagnetic bodies located in a spaced relation to each other and having common tangent plane located at an angle to direction of magnetic field and in direction at an acute angle to generating lines of these ferromagnetic bodies lying in common tangential plane. In this case, concentrated material is formed, before reaching the ferromagnetic bodies, in the form of separate flows with spaces between flows located opposite to ferromagnetic fields, and the flows themselves, against gaps between ferromagnetic bodies. Magnetic particles are brought to magnetic product on that side, relative to common tangential of ferromagnetic bodies, from which material to be concentrated is supplied. Nonmagnetic particles are brought into nonmagnetic product through gaps between ferromagnetic bodies. In case of wet separation flow of liquid in direct contact with flow of concentrate material is displaced at the place of bringing of magnetic particles into magnetic product.
