REFRACTORY PAINT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: paint industry, more particularly application of coatings onto metallic and non-metallic surfaces. SUBSTANCE: in order to promote binding and strength properties and reduce hardening time, refractory paint comprises alumoborophosphate bonder, pigment, silicon dioxide and magnesium oxide. Pigment is "Dulev black" pigment based on iron, chromium and cobalt oxides, silicon dioxide is silica white. Paint further comprises copper oxide, chromium oxide and iron minium, proportions of components being as follows (wt %): "Dulev black" pigment based on iron, chromium and cobalt oxides; 4-6 iron minium; 3-4 chromium oxide; 1.0- 2.4 magnesium oxide; 0.7-2.7 silicon dioxide; 0.5-1.5 copper oxide; and the alumoborophosphate binder balance.
