FIELD: fireproofing material technology. SUBSTANCE: fireproofing material has, mas. p. p.: triple ethylene-propylene-diene rubber or butadiene-nitrile rubber 100 and oxidized graphite (expansion degree is 50-400) 25-150. Method of its producing involves rolling and mixing with oxidized graphite. If necessary, vulcanizing agent is added at the stage of mixing and vulcanization is carried out after mixing under pressure 4-30 kg/cm2, at 140-150 C for 15-30 min. Material property: density is 1130-1240 kg/m3, hardness is 27-70; expansion degree at 300 C is 4.5-7.0-fold; fireproofing limit is 45-60.
