FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly protection of various civil and military objects, against fire. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises binder, oxidized graphite and solvent, e.g. acetic acid ethyl ester. Binder includes chloroprene or butadiene-nitrile rubber, phenol-formaldehyde resin and epoxy oligomer; oxidized graphite includes glacial acetic acid-modified oxidized graphite with expansion degree of more than 40 at 150 C and aromatic amine, ratio of components being as follows, wt parts: chloroprene or butadiene-nitrile rubber, 100; phenol-formaldehyde resin, 100-150; epoxy oligomer; 50- 100; glacial acetic acid-modified oxidized graphite with expansion degree of more than 40 at 150 C, 40-150; solvent is acetic acid ethyl ester, 400-800; aromatic amine, 20-40. EFFECT: fireproof material having greater mechanical strength, elasticity, high adhesion to wide range of substrates, and showing fireproof properties at 150-200.
