FIELD: hydrometallurgy of nonferrous metals. SUBSTANCE: simplifying utilization of nickel by way of isolating the latter as commercial product in a single process step, decreasing total volume of process solutions and reagents enabling creation of closed circuit is achieved when treating nickel-containing sorbent with water and ammonium sulfate at ratio 1:(0.6-1.8): (0.4-1.2) and further separating commercial product and regenerated sorbent. Mother liquor with ammonium sulfate added is utilized to treat a new portion of nickel-containing sorbent. EFFECT: simplified nickel utilization. 2 cl
