FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of pyrotechnic compounds, chemical sources of electric energy, thermally expanded graphite. Graphite is placed into fluoroplastic tube closed on one side. Current lead is put into open end of tube and tube is submerged in electrolysis bath containing 45% HF solution. Process is conducted under mode of anode oxidation under voltage of 3.0-10.0 V. Prepared product is dried. Process is blast-proof, does not require washing of fluoroxide of graphite from reaction products. Fluoroxide of graphite contains, per cent by mass: F 2.0-9.8; C 83.3-95.4; H 0.1-0.3; O 2.5-6.6. EFFECT: improved safety and productivity of process.
