FIELD: hydrometallurgy of nonferrous metals. SUBSTANCE: invention dealing with desorption of nickel from sorbent can be applied in electroplating practice to concentrate nickel solutions when solving environmental problems. Concentration of nickel in eluate and decrease in total volume of process solutions is achieved by treating sorbent with 12-25% sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, or ammonium chloride solution at 17-18 C using discrete eluate takeoff followed by washing sorbent by water in the same conditions. EFFECT: improved environmental condition.
