FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: alloy contains (in wt %): magnesium, 9.5-10.0; zinc, 1.5-1.9; manganese, 0.3-0.9; zirconium, 0.05-0.20; antimony, 0.20-0.35; aluminum, the balance. In its hardened and artificially aged state, alloy, preserving its corrosion resistance, exhibits elevated strength, stable mechanical properties when exploited, improved workability, and higher allowed temperature for products. Alloy is recommended to be utilized in manufacturing high-quality shaped parts by molding in sand molds. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics. 2 tbl
