FIELD: optical instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: monocrystals apt to be used in manufacturing optical elements are grown from molten batch with stoichiometric composition onto oriented seed with rotation under programmed temperature reduction conditions. Optically uniform monocrystals obtained are characterized by large dimensions (volume larger than 7000 cu. mm). EFFECT: increased monocrystal size.
