FIELD: crystal growing. SUBSTANCE: method relates to producing nonlinear-optical monocrystal of binary cesium-lithium borate from solution-melt to crystal seeding by the melt point decrease. Composition of solution-melt is defined by the range of phase diagram ABCDE of system at the following point coordinates, mole parts: A: Li2O is 0.15; Cs2O is 0.15; B2O3 is 0.70; MoO3 is 0; B: Li2O is 0.17; Cs2O is 0.17; B2O3 is 0.60; MoO3 is 0.06; C: Li2O is 0.16; Cs2O is 0.16; B2O3 is 0.54; MoO3 is 0.14; D: Li2O is 0.13; Cs2O is 0.13; B2O3 is 0.60; MoO3 is 0.14; E: Lo2O is 0.10; Cs2O is 0.10; B2O3 is 0.80; MoO3 is 0. Method involves the use of crystal seeding oriented at direction (011) and melt point is decreased from 810-840 C to 770-800 C at the rate 1-2 C/24 h. The use of solvent MoO3 of low viscosity and growth carrying out at direction (011) provide possibility to obtain large CLBO monocrystals of size up to 55 x 50 x 17 mm3. Crystals exhibit high indices of optical quality that ensures to make optical members of size up to 10 x 10 x 15 mm3. EFFECT: improved method of crystal growing. 2 dwg
