SUBSTANCE: prior to assembling, spherical surface of pin is subjected to machining to create microbosses by means of self-aligning device with working members of cylindrical shape with contact effort depending on number of working members, radius of sphere and normal pressure in machining contact. Self-aligning device has angular and axial displacement to ensure high dimensional accuracy and sphericity of machined surface of pin Machining according to proposed method provides high quality of contact of joint shell and spherical surface of pin, eliminating clearances in zone of working parts.
