FIELD: generation of three-dimensional pictures for physical experiments, air traffic control systems, computer tomography. SUBSTANCE: method involves illumination of moving opaque body which is designed as flat picture. Illumination is designed by means of two light beams which generate two illumination regions on opposite sides of plate. Centers of regions are in points which are located single normal line to plate surface. This results in possibility to generate opaque image which is visible at arbitrary sight angle. Illumination regions are generated material which covers plate surfaces and provides diffuse spread of light or conversion of beam wavelength into visible light. Said light spreading body is designed as rotating slope plate. Two laser beams are directed to its optical sides by means of rotating mirror collimators. One beam before it reaches plate is reflected from mirror inner surface of cylinder which is located on rotation axis of plate and collimators. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 4 cl, 2 dwg
