FIELD: method and devices for contactless measurement of object surface topography. SUBSTANCE: method is based on successive measurement along object longitudinal vertical axis of contours of discrete transverse horizontal sections of its surface, whose succession is used for geometric reconstruction of object surface which forms discrete linear framework - topography of object surface. To provide for maximum conformity of measured contours with horizontal sections of object surface, measurement of each contour is carried out in negligible interval of vertical layer of its surface by practically instantaneous determination of points geometric place by which measured contour is determined and formed by intersection of many obtained tangent beams to object surface, embracing it from both sides and lying in horizontal plane of circumference embracing the object, whose positions are determined for each successively displacing over given circumference point of position of sources of wide-angle optical irradiation of object by diverging fan beam with angular width exceeding object angular transverse dimensions and corresponding position of shade arc ends behind object on circumference, determined by signals of optical receivers located in preset points on same circumference from their group corresponding to circumference are opposite to source. Discrete linear framework of object surface is determined by successive repetition of said actions with sliding displacement of circumference plane along object vertical longitudinal axis.
