GEAR TO FAN OUT TWIST CABLE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering, technological equipment for preparation of twist cable, manufacture of machines and equipment. SUBSTANCE: gear to fan out twist cable has pickup of untwisting of cable placed in front of pulling mechanism and made in the form of carriage that is mounted for movement along cable with the help of rollers contacting cable conductors. There also are take-in mechanisms in accordance with number of conductors of fanned out cable. Give-up mechanism is manufactured in the form of drum mounted for rotation about axis perpendicular to axis of drum and cable fanning out. Mechanism cutting metal sheath of cable is fabricated in the form of rotor with guiding rollers which number corresponds to number of faces of cable for orientation of disc knives of given mechanism along lay of cable. Apart from this mechanism cutting and separating insulation from conductors has disc knives that are set in pairs and diametrically opposite with reference to one of cable conductors between two discs with ribbed radius surface contacting cable conductor. EFFECT: provision for preparation of twist electric cable without any damage to its metal conductors which allows these conductors to be used again while manufacturing wires and cables. 7 dwg
