FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to cutting devices and can be used in cable production. The device contains two driving horizontal shafts rotating towards each other at the same angular speed, press facility and at least one circular cutter. The shafts are installed on base, and upper shaft is installed with possibility to travel in vertical plane. Two metal pulling tapered disks are mounted on each shaft. Inclined flank surfaces of above mentioned disks are made corrugated with sharp ends and directed to each other forming upper and lower lodgments for cable. Circular cutter is located between two pulling disks installed on one driving shaft and is connected with them. At cable entry guideway is located. The said guideway is adjusted for height being capable to provide cable feeding irrespective to its diametre along axis of input channel formed by pulling disks. Press facility is connected with pulling disks equipped with circular cutter, with possibility to set force direction towards cable longitudinal axis and feed circular cutter in cable at the moment of its capturing by the said inclined corrugated flank surfaces of pulling disks. Circular cutter hardness is 60-75 RC.
EFFECT: improvement of sheath removing quality for various sheath sizes and increase in efficiency is provided.
